Dr. Anna Parvianinen
Anna Parviainen began her college career at the University of Georgia, receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from its College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She then continued her veterinary education at the University of Georgia, completing an internship in anesthesia and a residency in large animal internal medicine.
Dr. Parviainen further distinguished herself by becoming a board certified member of the American Veterinary College of Internal Medicine, specifically large animal internal medicine. Moving to Maryland in order to be closer to her family, she began practicing large animal ambulatory medicine.
After 2 years of busy practice, Dr. Parviainen decided to expand her areas of veterinary expertise and transitioned to small animal medicine in 2002. Dr. Parviainen has been a veterinarian at Dunkirk Animal Hospital since then. She has found that she has a keen interest in the internal medicine aspects of small animal veterinary practice as well.
